Show Notes

In this episode of The SEO Show, Michael and Arthur share some exciting news about the future of the podcast. We kick things off with a brief introduction, where I remind our listeners about the importance of SEO and invite them to check out our website for a second opinion on their SEO strategies.

As we dive into the episode, I explain that this week’s episode is a bit different because we have some big news to share: we are moving our podcast studio to a new office space! This transition means that we might be out of action for about a week while we set everything up, but it’s all for a good cause. The new studio will allow us to record episodes more flexibly, without the need to coordinate our schedules as we have been doing.

I express my excitement about the new setup, which will not only enhance our recording capabilities but also allow us to invite more guests and even feature some of our SEO team members in the background. The new space will have a proper internet connection, eliminating the need for us to hotspot off our phones, which has been a challenge in our current setup.

We discuss some of the potential features of the new studio, including the possibility of viewers seeing our team at work in the background, engaging in high-octane SEO tasks like keyword research and link building. I share that we are still in the planning stages, debating between different decor options like brick wallpaper versus padded acoustic wall treatments.

As we wrap up, I assure our listeners that we are banking a few episodes and conducting interviews to ensure a smooth transition. We aim to be back on schedule by the end of April, with plans to potentially do a live episode in the future. I also mention that we will keep everyone updated on our move through our Instagram page and the new Facebook page that we are setting up.

Finally, I attempt to close the episode with our catchphrase, “Happy SEOing,” but it leads to a light-hearted moment as I struggle to remember it. We end the episode on a cheerful note, looking forward to the new adventures that await us in our new studio.

MICHAEL:
Hi guys, Michael here. Do you want a second opinion on your SEO? Head to theseoshow.co and hit the link in the header. We'll take a look under the hood at your SEO, your competitors and your market and tell you how you can improve. All right, let's get into the show.

INTRO: It's time for the SEO show where a couple of nerds talk search engine optimization so you can learn to compete in Google and grow your business online. Now here's your hosts, Michael and Arthur.

MICHAEL: Hello. Hello. Hello. And welcome to another episode of the SEO show. Why three hellos? Cause I was just trying to make the intro a bit different. Try to do it every week. And I keep telling you to keep it the same, but exactly the same every time. Yeah. Why not? Well, no, that's not how I roll. I like to AB test my intros. Something tells me this one's not going to perform too well. I can tell you now straight off the bat. So don't worry. Well, the good news for everyone listening is that this is a very short and sweet episode this week. Why's that? Because we have some news. Some big, big news. I'm excited. What is it? We are moving our podcast studio to a new space. And it probably means we're going to be out of action maybe for like a week or so while we get it all set up. So that's why we're doing this episode, just to let you all know what's going on. And that will be back with our regularly scheduled contractually obligated programming soon. But yeah, we're moving our. basically our agency is moving to a new office and we are moving the podcast studio into that office. That's part of the move, which is good because it means we can record a podcast whenever we feel like it. Yeah. No longer do we have to coordinate coming in just to do episodes. If, if motivation and creativity strikes us at any moment, we can just jump in there and do it. Exactly. And we can invite some of the SEO team and here and there. SEO team, more guests. It'll have an actual internet connection. We don't even have internet in this one. No, we don't. We have to hotspot off our phones. That'll be exciting. What else will it have? You'll be able to see, potentially. If you're watching, yes. Depending the way we set it up, you'll be able to see some of our team and office in the background through the window. Yeah, I reckon that'll be cool.

ARTHUR: Yeah.

MICHAEL: Set it up so you can see the people working in the background. some high octane SEO work.

ARTHUR: Exactly.

MICHAEL: Keyword research links being built in the wild. You'll be able to see that going on in the background, but yeah, that's pretty much it. So exciting times. I'm looking forward to it. We're still planning it all out. Still trying to figure out how we're going to decorate it. Try to keep it interesting. There's arguments over, do we go brick wallpaper or do we go padded acoustic wall treatments? That sort of stuff that's happening. We need to tune in to find out what we go with. You will. We don't even know yet. So no, we don't. So what we're doing, we're going to move everything there and just see how it feels once we've got everything in the space and then decorate it. But, um, we're going to need a bit of time to do that. So we're banking a few episodes. We've got a few interviews. That's all going to be done. And then, um, you know, towards the end of April, we'll be back on schedule, recording these episodes relatively live. We should do a live episode one day. Maybe. Maybe we do a Facebook live stream. We don't even have a Facebook. Well, we need to work on that before we do that. Yeah. So much potential. There is potential. So much potential, but that's it. We won't bore you with listening to this any longer. No, it is what it is. We'll be sure to let you all know once we've moved. We'll share some photos on our Instagram page that Arthur set up. Right. Yep. Yep. Along with the Facebook page. Yep. Okay. And, um, yeah, looking forward to recording from the new episode soon until then though, what do we say Arthur? Happy SEOing or whatever. That sounded like the most unhappy. I can't remember what you say. You have a little catchphrase, don't you? Happy SEOing.

ARTHUR: Is it? Was that right? Yeah.

MICHAEL: Okay. Happy SEOing. All right.

ARTHUR: See ya. Bye.
